Motorcycle Rectifier/Regulators

A rectifier/regulator is responsible for two separate functions as part of your motorcycle’s ignition system. The power that is generated from the alternator is 3-phase AC voltage. The RECTIFIER is tasked with converting the 3-phase AC voltage into useable, single-phase DC voltage. DC voltage is used to recharge the battery and maintain functionality of the electrical system. The REGULATOR supplies the power load so that the DC voltage is kept within specified limits as to not cause damage to the battery and accompanying electrical components. Excess electrical power gets converted into heat. A failed or failing rectifier/regulator will reveal itself as a myriad of electrical-related anomalies such as rough starting, batteries not charging, and cutting/inconsistent power delivery. HQ Powersports sells brand new, OEM-spec aftermarket rectifier/regulator modules for popular motorcycles from domestic, European, and Japanese brands including Harley-Davidson, Can-Am, Ducati, Aprilia, Honda, Suzuki, and Yamaha.
